We Want You Aboard

Help Keep the Clipper’s Story Alive

The S.S. Milwaukee Clipper survives because people care enough to show up, lend a hand, share their skills, and become part of her continuing story.

Whether you love history, enjoy meeting visitors, have restoration skills, want to help with events, or simply want to support a Muskegon icon, there is a place for you aboard the Milwaukee Clipper.

Tours & Visitor Experience

Welcome guests, assist with tours, help in museum spaces, or share the story of the Clipper with visitors.

Events & Ship Store

Support special events, onboard programs, the gift shop, Soda Bowl, fundraisers, and community activities.

Archives & History

Assist with artifacts, photographs, records, exhibits, newsletters, storytelling, and preservation of ship history.

Marketing & Outreach

Help with publicity, advertising, photography, social media, community connections, and spreading the word.

Fundraising & Support

Help grow memberships, sponsorships, donations, grant support, and long-term preservation funding.

Every Hand Helps Preserve History

From archiving photographs to painting, greeting visitors, helping at events, supporting the museum, or sharing the Clipper’s story, every volunteer effort helps protect this rare piece of Great Lakes maritime history.
